The Japanese Culinary Academy Certification evaluates Japanese culinary proficiency in terms of both knowledge and skill, and certifies those who have passed as possessing competency in Japanese culinary techniques.
Fundamental Certification can be completed by taking an online test. Follow the instructions below to proceed.
If you have not yet created an account, first go to "Create an account" on the menu, enter the necessary information, create an account, and sign in.
You will then be able to take the test.
Test questions are in true or false (〇 or ×) format.Take the test on this website.

Test scores of 80% or higher are recognized as a passing grade.
*Applicants who fail may not take the test again on the same day.
Please take the test again from the following day onwards.
Applicants who have passed the test can register their passing grade. Once they have registered, they will be issued an electronic certificate.
Registering a passing grade qualifies the applicant for the next step, taking advanced level tests.
Passing Grade Registration Fee: ¥3,000 + consumption tax
After registering a passing grade, click the "Check Electronic Certificate" button to see the electronic certificate.
As a special discount to celebrate the launch of the Fundamental Certification, applicants who pass the test can register their passing grade for just ¥1,000 until June 30, 2021.
Passing Grade Registration Fee: ¥1,000 + consumption tax
After registering a passing grade, applicants can be issued a Fundamental Certification Passing Certificate (test certificate)upon request.
The fee for a Fundamental Certification Passing Certificate (test certificate) is ¥1,000 (for addresses within Japan) plus consumption tax, which covers the cost of printing, packaging, and shipping.
